Not worth your time and money

I have been using Brother printers at home for some years now. I always purchased original toner but when I saw the price difference of $70 dollars in favor of this remanufactured set, I was hooked. But it does not work. The printer kept reading “change toner” after I had changed them. I figured it must be a trick of Brother to make you buy the original. Then the magenta bled. Then one day later the printer read “change magenta” and stop working all together. So after I paid for the remanufactured set, I have now purchased the original and the printer works beautifully. Yes, I realize it might be a trick from Brother (their product has a chip that talks to the printer while the copycats don’t). But it is not worth my time to go figure online how to outsmart the trick. And I think it is not worth yours either.

Remanufactured Toners

I highly recommend avoiding these. I purchased this set to save money but ended up with junk. Toner leaked out, speckled printing, etc. Of course this may also reflect Brother’s color laser quality as well which I will never again rely upon. If you are thinking of printing out formal documents, such as wedding invites and programs, go with HP.

Toner did not work out of box

When I went to place this toner into my Brother HL-3040CN the machine told me I still needed to replace the cartridge. I contacted the company [...] to resolve the issue and they told me to clean the print heads. As this printer is an LED printer there are no print heads to clean so their advice was worthless and they seemed reluctant to replace the product. After searching the internet for half and hour I found out how to access the toner menus in the printer and reset them manually. So far this seems to have worked but this product did not perform correctly as it should have without extra effort and hassle on my part.
