2-Way Remote Learning Instructions – after you have programmed your DISH Network remote to control your instrumentation (in TV, DVD or AUX modes), you may find not all of the commands applied by the equipment’s initial remote controls function as they expect. The learning function of the DISH Network remote control may help these commands. The remote control may learn commands in two ways: Hybrid Mode & Normal Mode

Nice remote

The remote came without manual. The instructions I found online were not for my particular remote but it allowed me to figure out the 2 programming functions.
To program your receiver (TV1): 1) On the satellite receiver, push ‘System Info’ – it brings up a screen showing the Primary and Secondary remote addresses being used by the receiver. 2) On the remote, press and hold ‘Sat’ button until all the mode keys light up and then release. 3) Enter the primary remote address number found on the screen, I think it can only be 1 – 15, then hit the # sign. – if the address was acceptable the ‘Sat’ button should have blinked. 4) Hit the ‘record’ button.
To program your TV (same as Dish Network 6.3 remote see [...] Turn your TV on. 2)On the remote, press and hold the TV mode button untill all Mode buttons light up. 3) Press the main Power button (not the TV power button). 4) Press the Up “Channel” arrow on the remote repeatedly (1 press per second) until your TV turns off. 5) Press pound sign (#). 6) Press the main Power button (again, not the TV power button) to turn the TV on.
Once programmed, the remote works fine.

This was a great deal and had working within 5 minutes. I got it as a second remote for my wife to use in our living room. Everything works great!!

The learning mode of this remote is fantastic for this technically challenged individual. Otherwise this remote is the same as the remote provided with our HD receiver. No complaints.
